LAIKA was originally invented by Martin Pichlmair and Charlene Putney in the depths of covid lockdowns as we sat together at our kitchen table. We are currently a team of 3 people now developing the Writers Room:
- Riddhi Raj is our backend engineer and runs our MLOps. He keeps the engines at warp speed.
- Charlene Putney is our producer and the shaper of brains. She holds everything together and knows how to inspire bits and bytes to turn into tiny creative reactors.
- Martin Pichlmair is our slide show wizard and duct-tape programmer. He sets out the vision, defines the style, and tries to find the soul of the system.
We also have some alumni who helped us to get to this place:
- Vanilla Noir (Maxi & Madeleine) and Wiola Gluza made our initial frontend.
- M Charity worked on exciting new features like our Character Creator.
- Vertti Luostarinen worked on the screenwriting Google Docs plugin ScriptLaika.
LAIKA is realised with funding from Innovationsfonden and Rockstart, and support from IT University Copenhagen.
